Task flying and recognition with the novice glider pilot in mind.
The Proving Grounds platform provides a unique, low maintenance approach to member development.
Pilots fly fixed tasks and email their traces to a customized bot for their club which returns time & average speed for successfully flown tasks automatically.
Pilots record their specifics on magnetic slips, then order the slips from fastest to slowest on beautiful, stainless steel task boards.
What We Do
Visiting The Club
During our flying season, in order to facilitate planning
we would ask that people please use the
SSC Flying Schedule Spreadsheet
which takes you to a schedule spreadsheet.
On the spreadsheet you can indicate
what days on the schedule you are interested to take part in gliding activities
at Cudworth during our soaring season; you'll see that this is usually on
Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Statutory Holidays. This spreadsheet
schedule is primarily used by members of the club, but we also encourage it to
be used by any interested members of the public who wish to leave a message
indicating their interest to come by on a particular day to see what we're all
about and perhaps experience an introductory flight! We do keep the schedule
updated regularly to indicate if there's a cancellation due to poor weather or
any other reason, so it's always best to make a last-minute check of the
spreadsheet before heading out to Cudworth.
